FEDARENE is premier European network of regional and local organisations which implement, co-ordinate and facilitate energy and environment policies. A non-profit association set up in 1990 at the initiative of six European regions , it now gathers some 65 organisations distributed over 15 countries of the European Union. FEDARENE acts as a platform of exchange enabling its member to compare and confront their approaches, to learn from each other and to transfer their know-how and their technologies.

To facilitate the development of interregional exchanges, partnerships and cooperations,

To help the European regions to develop their capacity to take actions,

To represent and promote the regional and local dimensions in energy and environment debates at the European level
What does Fedarene do?
- promotes the exchange of experiences and transfer of know-how,
- promotes the activities of its members
- represents its members at European level
- disseminates information among its members
- facilitates research of partners
